- 2025 Physician Wellness Survey
The survey is being temporarily held while we fix some internal technical issues.
Thank you to our early participants who pointed out the needed fixes. If you already completed the survey, your data will still be valid; you will not need to redo the survey.
We will repost the survey ASAP and communicate when it's back up - likely the week of April 7.
Your voice created real change. 3 in 4 UCSD physicians took the 2024 survey and shaped the '24-'25 wellness strategy. Read about system-level changes here, and ask your Department Wellness Director about your Department's Wellness Plan, progress, & accomplishments.
All physicians and interested colleagues at UCSD Health are invited to join.
Dialogue directly with senior leadership, plus reflect on '24-'25 progress and discuss '25-'26 ideas.
Clinically-active, non-GME physicians who practice at UCSD.
Please do not take this survey if you are a:
This survey will not be relevant to you.
Yes. This is not the Faculty Climate Survey; that survey is administered triannually by the Office of Faculty Affairs and is not connected with the Physician Wellness Office. The Physician Wellness survey (featured on this page) is administered annually. The next OFA Climate Survey is anticipated for 2026 - please connect with the OFA to confirm those details if you're interested to learn more.
Yes, noting: There are 71 UCSD physicians who practice both at UCSD and Rady Children's. This UCSD Physician Wellness survey will address your experience practicing at UCSD; Rady will be issuing an equivalent survey in Summer 2025 assessing your experience there. Each survey will inform improvement efforts at each issuing institution. Our planning teams are sensitive to survey burden, so we invite you to consider where you'd like to direct your contributions for the wellness strategies at each institution.
This survey - and the accompanying PW Town Hall and results discussion with your department - directly inform the actions taken by your department and UCSD to improve your experience as a physician here. Check out the progress & accomplishments featured above for evidence of real changes from the past two phases of UCSD's Physician Wellness program. Don't miss your chance to have your voice heard!
Several items were added to improve the interpretability and utility of the data: turnover intent reason, for instance ("I'm retiring", etc.). We also removed several items that we observed were not useful in creating meaningful changes from last year's strategy and implementation.
